Business Management

Employee Satisfaction

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this course, you will:

  • Know how to prepare for “Pre arrival” insuring that everything is in place for the new employee’s first day. There are checklists for everything from proper introductions to assisting with new hire paperwork
  • Be familiar with the “Buddy” system and how to select a “buddy” for the new hire and the responsibilities for both
  • Be able to create a “career path” for that employee and develop it together to the benefit of the employee, the company and yourself
  • Know the fine points of appreciation, satisfaction, respect, loyalty and more
  • Be able to work with any number of new employees and make each one of them feel welcomed and needed from the first day.

In this one-hour continuing education course for architects, engineers, landscape architects and interior designers you will learn about “The Horrors” that can paralyze an employee on their first day, and how to prevent them. You will be led through the steps required to guide them through the first week, month, 90 days and into the secure and comfortable pace of an experienced employee.

You will find checklists and helpful web links in this course for maximum learning effect.

Introduction

So, you’re a Supervisor. You are secure in your job and on your way up. Now is the time for you to stop and take a good look BACKWARDS! All the way backwards to your first day on the job! Remember that? Pretty scary stuff wasn’t it?

Now that you are a Supervisor you do not want YOUR new employees to go through what you went through that first day. This course will help you help them to a trauma free introduction and smooth running orientation.

You might feel that an orientation program takes too much time and energy. However, a good orientation program usually pays off for the individual employee, the department and the organization.
