Accessibility Design Associates, Inc. has been in the accessibility consulting business since 1997. Its owner and president, Chris Schexnayder, started the firm after leaving the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) where he had been employed as an Accessibility Specialist. Accessibility Design Associates, Inc. specializes in consulting on the various accessibility codes on the local, state and federal level. These codes include the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS), Fair Housing Act (FHA), International Building Code (IBC), American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and more. Mr. Schexnayder is licensed by TDLR as a Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS #37).   Mr. Schexnayder is a Charter Member and former Board Member of the Texas Registered Accessibility Specialist Association, a statewide organization which he remains actively involved with.
